Shamweel’s “Kilanbukan”—A Story About A Soru Losing His Way
The long-awaited song of Shamweel Mohamed (Barrow), "Kilanbukan" has officially been released on 20th December 2020! The 3rd original song from the album "Soru", narrates a story about a man and how he loses his way by following the bad advice of friends.
"Kilanbukan" and the album "Soru" evokes a lot of emotion from its lyrics as the scenario behind it is relatable to everyone at some aspect of their lives.
The lyrics of the song was written by Naish Shathir and the music and mastering of the song was composed by Munaz Zubair. Featuring the infamous local rapper, Ali Sofwan (Soppe), the song also has a Boduberu performance by Mamdhooh (Mandey) and Harmony by Ahmed Sameeh (Bajikko).
All three songs of the Album Soru portrays a story about a man and his unfortunate turn of events in life. Shamweel's first song "Odi Dheelaa" released in 2018, gives an introduction to "Soru" and incidents he faces during his amateur fishing. In "Fari Handi", the "Soru" boasts about meeting a pretty jinn and how he is the only person who can see her in the island.
