Islamic Affairs Minister Dr Shaheem Ali Saeed has condemned what he described as threats issued by Yemeni groups against Saudi Arabia, including Makkah and Madinah.

In a statement on X, Shaheem expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its people, and called for the protection of the Kingdom and the two holy cities. He cited Verses from the Quran concerning the sanctity of Islamic holy sites and the prohibition of wrongdoing within them.
Shaheem said Makkah and Madinah hold a special significance for Muslims worldwide and should remain protected from threats and violence. He also prayed for the continued security and stability of Saudi Arabia and for Muslims to be protected from conflict and harm.
