Deputy Speaker Meets Shandong Governor, Calls for Joint Efforts Against Marine Pollution

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Ahmed Nazim, met with Zhao Naixing, the Governor of Shandong Province, during his visit to China for the Global Ocean Development Forum.

During their discussions, both Nazim and Zhao highlighted the importance of protecting marine environments on a global scale. They stressed the need for international cooperation in tackling marine pollution, highlighting that joint efforts are essential to safeguard marine ecosystems.

Nazim thanked Governor Zhao and the Chinese government for the invitation to participate in the forum. He was accompanied by Ahmed Shiyam, Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources.

Following the meeting, the Governor hosted a dinner for the participants of this forum.
