MMC By-Election Voter Registration Deadline Extended to 4 May

The Maldives Media Council (MMC) has extended the deadline to register for voting in its upcoming by-election, with the new cut-off set for 13:30 on 4 May, excluding public holidays.

Eligible individuals must submit a copy of their ID card along with the registration form. Registration is open to the head of a registered newspaper or broadcaster, or a designated representative. Each registered voter may only be represented by one media outlet.

Registration forms are being accepted at the reception of the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Art, located at the Social Centre, from 9:00 am to 13:30 pm on all days except public holidays. Applications may also be submitted via email to media@youth.gov.mv, with all documents required to be in PDF format.
