Ministry Invites Public Input on Laamu Atoll Conservation Proposals

The Ministry of Tourism and Environment has announced the opening of the public consultation period for the Draft Management Plans of several protected areas in Laamu Atoll.
In a post shared on social media, the Ministry invited the public to review the draft plans and submit their comments by 20 May 2025, using a designated comment template provided online. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure inclusive and sustainable management of protected natural sites in the Maldives.
The draft plans currently open for feedback include:

Members of the public are encouraged to provide input using the comment template linked in the Ministry’s post. The feedback collected will help shape the final management strategies for these sites.
