The initiative seeks to strengthen the Maldives’ presence in Europe by providing a platform for industry partners to forge new connections, reinforce existing relationships, and share the latest updates on the destination. The programme includes interactive elements such as quizzes and workshops in Italy and Lyon, as well as a dedicated media component in Paris to highlight the Maldives’ appeal and the distinct offerings of its resorts.

The roadshows feature B2B meetings, networking opportunities, and destination workshops designed to engage travel professionals. Attendees also stand a chance to win holiday vouchers to the Maldives, sponsored by Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, Canareef Resort Maldives, Six Senses Laamu, and Riu Hotels & Resorts.

Italy and France remain key markets for the Maldivian tourism industry, showing strong performance in 2025. Italy currently ranks as the fourth largest source market, with 79,482 tourist arrivals recorded by mid-May. France holds the seventh position, contributing more than 33,108 arrivals during the same period.
