Customs and Immigration Announce Major Recruitment Drives Ahead of Airport Terminal Opening

The Maldives Customs Service and Maldives Immigration have announced large-scale hiring initiatives as preparations continue for the opening of the new terminal at Velana International Airport.
The Maldives Customs Service (MCS) is recruiting 164 Assistant Officers for postings in the Malé area. The recruitment drive is targeted at young individuals aged between 18 and 30. Applications can be submitted through the official recruitment portal until 31st May at 14:00 hrs.

Successful applicants will receive a basic monthly salary of MVR 5,000, in addition to a non-practice allowance of MVR 1,750 and daily attendance allowance of MVR 200. A further MVR 60 per day will be paid as cottage allowance, and with overtime, the total monthly compensation could reach approximately MVR 11,000.
Minimum requirements for the position include at least two D passes in GCE O Level or equivalent qualifications, a C pass in the secondary school examination, and successful completion of a physical test as set by MCS. Meanwhile, Maldives Immigration is set to hire 50 immigration officer trainers through a walk-in interview process scheduled for 24th May 2025. The interviews will take place at Galolhu School from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm.
