STO General Trading Launches Three Targeted Promotions

The State Trading Organization (STO) General Trading has launched three targeted promotional campaigns, aimed at restaurant and café businesses, wholesale customers, and individuals moving into new apartments. 

For restaurants and cafés, the promotion will run for three months and includes special pricing for registered businesses. Participation requires completing a registration form. At the end of the promotion period, the ten businesses with the highest number of transactions will be rewarded with credit.

The top three will receive MVR 150,000, MVR 100,000, and MVR 75,000 respectively, while the remaining seven will each receive MVR 50,000. This promotion will be conducted through the STO Wholesale Centre.

The second promotion is directed at wholesale customers. It also runs for three months and includes access to credit facilities as well as the opportunity to become agents of STO General Trading. Three participating businesses that take goods on credit and act as agents during the promotion period will be awarded prizes. These include MVR 100,000 in credit for the first, MVR 75,000 for the second, and MVR 50,000 for the third. This promotion will also be available at the STO Wholesale Centre.

The third promotion focuses on individuals moving into newly developed apartments in Malé and Hulhumalé. Special discounts are being offered on home appliances purchased from STO General Trading. Discounts include 12 percent for purchases between MVR 15,000 and MVR 25,000, 15 percent for purchases between MVR 25,000 and MVR 35,000, and 18 percent for purchases exceeding MVR 35,000. 

Additionally, a 2.5 percent discount is being offered on Hitachi air conditioners. To qualify, customers must present their apartment receipt letter. This promotion will continue until the end of 2025 and will be available at STO People’s Choice.
