Death Reported in Machangolhi Home Under Investigation

A 41-year-old Maldivian man has been found dead in a residence in the Machangolhi district of Malé City, according to police.

The incident was reported to police this morning, when a person in poor health was taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). However, the man was already deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

Police confirmed that the deceased was a 41-year-old local male and stated that an investigation into the circumstances of his death is underway.

This incident comes shortly after a similar case was reported on 7 May, when a 46-year-old man was found dead in a home in Malé.
