The 16th edition of the highly anticipated Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR) is scheduled to take place on Friday, 24 October 2025, at Hulhumalé Central Park.

DMRR is the first and only international run held in the Maldives, recognised in the  Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) World Running  Calendar, with a World Athletics-certified race route. The event brings together runners from across the Maldives and around the world and has expanded into the atolls this year with the introduction of the Dhiraagu Fuvahmulah Run 2025.

Runners can choose to participate in the Half Marathon, 10K, 5K Single, or 5K Corporate  Team category this year as well. The 5K Corporate Team category features an Office/Resorts category where teams of four runners can compete together.

Each year, DMRR offers cash prizes across various categories, and this year,  Dhiraagu will be awarding a total prize pool of MVR 256,000 to the winners.

“Similar to previous years, DMRR 2025 is dedicated to the important social cause of child protection, which is one of the key focus areas of Dhiraagu’s Corporate Social  Responsibility programme. The run will serve as a platform for NGOs working in this area to raise both awareness and funds for their initiatives,” Dhiraagu stated in its statement. Applications for NGO registration are now open and will be accepted until 30 June 2025. For more information about DMRR, visit www.dmrr.mv.
