To qualify for the President’s Scholarship, students must have achieved an A* grade in five subjects, including Dhivehi and Islam, and obtained at least a pass in English at the Ordinary Level examination or its equivalent. Those meeting these criteria can apply for the scholarship through the Ministry’s website.

For the High Achievers’ Scholarship, students must have earned a minimum grade of A in five subjects, including Dhivehi and Islam, alongside a pass in English at the Ordinary Level or equivalent examination. Eligible students can also submit their applications via the Ministry’s website, which provides further information on the scholarships.

Recipients of the High Achievers’ Scholarship will be offered opportunities to study in fields listed on the National Training Needs List, which identifies key sectors requiring development in the Maldives. In contrast, students awarded the President’s Scholarship may pursue studies in any field of their choice.

Both scholarships are fully funded and available to eligible students seeking to complete their first bachelor’s degree.
