Ooredoo Nation Crowns Champions at First-Ever Inter-College eSports Showdown

Ooredoo Nation Maldives has successfully wrapped up its inaugural Inter-College eSports Championship, bringing together a wave of gaming talent from across the country in a dynamic celebration of digital sportsmanship. The event spotlighted three major eSports titles — EAFC, PUBG Mobile, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang — drawing fierce competition and enthusiastic engagement from student gamers.

A total of 26 teams and individuals clashed across several intense rounds, each aiming for glory and a share of the prize pool. Villa College, Maldives National University (MNU), and the University of Edinburgh emerged as key contenders, with participants showcasing remarkable skill, strategy and teamwork.

Game Highlights and Winners

In the EAFC category, Yusuf from Villa College clinched the title, pocketing MVR 5,000, while Zakwan of the University of Edinburgh and Dhaain from Villa College secured the runner-up positions.

The PUBG Mobile tournament saw MNUBS dominate the battlegrounds, earning top honours and MVR 5,000. Villa College and MNUBS – OGS followed closely behind.

For Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Team MNU led the charge, edging out their sister team, MNU 2, and Team Villa to secure the championship and prize winnings.
