The President’s Office has reopened applications for the post of members of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) as the terms of three current commissioners are nearing completion.
The application window, which opened yesterday, will remain open until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 12 August.
The President’s Office said that interested candidates may submit their applications on working days between 08:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Application forms are available for download via the President’s Office website.
The three commissioners whose terms are ending are the President of the Commission, Mohamed Nasih, and members Mohamed Farshath and Fathimath Shareef. They have served on the CSC since 3 September 2020. The President’s Office initially invited applications for the positions earlier this month, with the first deadline set for 20 July.
To be eligible, applicants must be Maldivian citizens aged 30 or older. They must not have been convicted of a Hadd offence under Islamic Shariah or any other criminal offence within the past five years. Individuals currently holding elected posts under the Constitution or employed in other positions are not eligible. Additionally, applicants must have at least ten years of management experience following the completion of a first degree.
The President appoints CSC members, subject to approval by the People’s Majlis. Each appointed member serves a five-year term.
