MMC Offers Extended Deadline for Annual Journalism Awards

The Maldives Media Council (MMC) has extended the deadline for submitting nominations for its annual Journalism Awards.
Nominations can now be submitted until 1:00 pm on 14 August.

The awards will be presented across 14 categories, divided into two main sections: the newspaper and magazine category, and the audio and video journalism category.
The MMC stated that the awards aim to encourage Maldivian journalists, recognise their contributions, promote ethical journalism, and improve the quality of their work.
Prizes are awarded annually for journalistic work produced during the previous year. The MMC has been hosting the Journalism Awards every year since 2014.
