New bus stops are being installed in Hulhumalé Phase 2 ahead of residents moving into the 4,000 flats allocated under the Gedhoruveriya housing scheme.

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) stated that the installation of bus stops is being carried out to ensure transport access for those who will soon be living in the flats developed by Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC).
At present, the area has no bus stops as it remains unoccupied. Meanwhile, the government is in the process of signing agreements with all recipients of the flats before they move in.
