Man Assaulted On Sosun Magu, Police Launch Investigation

A man was assaulted and injured on Sosun Magu in Malé City last evening, leading to a police investigation.
The Maldives Police Service stated that the report of the incident was received at 23:11. The victim, identified as a Maldivian, was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment. Authorities have not disclosed the extent of his injuries or confirmed whether any arrests have been made in connection with the case.

A video circulating on social media appears to show the aftermath of the assault, depicting a man lying on the street with two police officers present at the scene.
