The organisation has stated that it will focus on raising public awareness of conditions such as mental illnesses and endometriosis, while also seeking to provide practical solutions through partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
Thrive Society held its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 4 September 2025, where its executive team was elected. Umar Ahmed Hussain was appointed chairperson, with Mariyam Shakeeb as vice chairperson, Mohamed Musaaid as general secretary, Rishadha Rasheed as treasurer, and Mariyam Manik as administrative secretary. The executive members elected were Dr Ibrahim Ahmed Raaz, Mariyam Saadha, Fathimath Mizna, Aishath Hanaan Mohamed Didi and Aishath Suba.
The NGO has announced that it is in discussions with hospitals and clinics to bring in visiting psychiatric specialists from abroad, in response to public demand for improved access to care. Plans also include facilitating visits by specialists in endometriosis and other medical conditions.
The organisation has further pledged to work with authorities and legal professionals to support parents facing difficulties in meeting their children.
