Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has reported that over 500 recipients of the 4,000 flats developed in Hulhumale’ Phase II under the former Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) administration’s ‘Gedhoruveriya’ housing scheme have paid deposits for their units.

According to FDC, 588 out of 909 recipients scheduled to pay deposits have completed the payment, with each deposit set at MVR 25,000. The Corporation announced on Thursday that it has begun handing over flats through its dedicated flat portal. Recipients will be notified via the portal and SMS when their keys are ready for collection.

The first flats to be handed over are located in Amaan Udhares Tower 14. FDC stated that the units will only be delivered after finishing work is completed, including the installation of doors, windows, fans, and bathroom fixtures, as well as tiling and wall painting.

The Corporation has finalised agreements with 3,000 out of the 4,000 flat recipients. Keys will be handed over once the payment has been settled. FDC did not provide a specific date for when recipients can move into their flats.
