Maldivian MSMEs Recognised at First National Awards Ceremony

The inaugural edition of the Maldives MSME Awards, a national platform celebrating the achievements of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), recognised 21 businesses for their accomplishments on Friday night.
Co-organised by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Business Centre Corporation (BCC), the awards highlight the dedication, creativity, and resilience that define Maldivian entrepreneurship.

The Maldives MSME Awards featured two major divisions: Judges’ Awards and Popular Awards, combining expert evaluation with public choice. A total of 21 businesses were honoured across 22 categories.
The top awards were presented to Nody’s Coffee, Loopcraft, and Oevaali Art Shop. Nody’s Coffee was named Micro MSME of the Year, Loopcraft received Small MSME of the Year, and Oevaali Art Shop won Medium MSME of the Year.
Judge’s Awards included Start-up of the Year awarded to Synetecs, Green MSME of the Year to Fahigovaan, Tech MSME of the Year to PiNetworks, Outstanding Contribution of the Year to The Gift Basket Maldives, Creative MSME of the Year to Encrea, Next-Gen MSME of the Year to Javaabu, Youth-led MSME of the Year to For the Soul by Himoo, and Women-led MSME of the Year to Myanasih.
In the Popular Awards, 11 businesses were recognised for public support. Winners included Detune Band for Entertainment, Maldives Music and Arts Center for Music Production, Lights Out for Photography, The Crystal Company for Film Production, Macramama for Fine Artisan, Legacy Fitness for Fitness and Recreation, Fatima for Fashion and Apparel Designing, Tropical Designs for Lifestyle Brand, Meraki for Food and Beverage, Thakethi for Content Creation, and Loopcraft for Marketing.
The BCC announced that the Maldives MSME Awards will now be held annually, establishing a recurring platform to acknowledge the contributions of Maldivian entrepreneurs.
