Two New ATM Opens in Hulhumale’ Phase 2

The government has expanded banking services in Hulhumale’ Phase 2 with the opening of two new ATMs.

The new facilities include an ATM in the Hiyaa Flat area, housing one Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) ATM, and a second one at Eku Hiyaa, offering both MVR and US Dollar (USD) ATMs.

The inauguration ceremonies were attended by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, alongside the Bank’s Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, and senior bank officials.

The Bank highlighted that the expansion reflects its ongoing commitment to enhancing financial access across all communities. Hulhumale’ Phase 2 was identified as a key growth area, with the new ATM centres designed to provide reliable and convenient banking solutions for residents and businesses.

In addition to the new centres, Bank of Maldives (BML) maintains a strong presence across Hulhumale’, including a branch and four Self-Service Banking Centres in Phase 1 and one Self-Service Banking Centre in Phase 2. The bank has also installed a USD ATM at the Renaatus Ithaa Mui building in Phase 1.

As the nation’s leading financial institution, BML operates 42 branches across all 20 atolls, 267 ATMs, Self-Service Banking Centres on every inhabited island, and advanced digital banking platforms, reinforcing its extensive nationwide network.
