Haze conditions across the Maldives have worsened, particularly in the central regions, with visibility dropping below two kilometres, according to Maldives Meteorological Services.
The reduced visibility marks the lowest air quality recorded in the central region over the past week. Authorities attribute the conditions to prevailing north-easterly winds, which are expected to continue affecting the area in the coming days.
