Applications are now open for the World No Tobacco Day Awards 2026, announced by HPA
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that applications are now open for the World No Tobacco Day Awards 2026.
The awards, presented annually by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, recognise individuals, organisations, and companies from each of the six WHO regions for their outstanding contributions to tobacco control.
The HPA stated that individuals, civil society organisations, and companies are invited to apply for the awards for their efforts in reducing the impact of smoking within society and for initiatives aligned with this year’s theme of World No Tobacco Day.
The theme for 2026 is “Unmasking the Appeal: Exposing Industry Tactics on Tobacco and Nicotine Products.”
Applications can be submitted through the WHO website, with the deadline set for Friday, 16 January. World No Tobacco Day is observed annually on 31 May.
