The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) has launched a dedicated help desk to support the public in applying for social assistance programmes, with immediate effect.
The help desk is located on the ground floor of the Henveiru Ferry Terminal and is intended to assist individuals who face difficulties using the government’s digital application system, particularly the OneGov platform.
The initiative follows the government’s decision to expand support under the Aasandha scheme by extending therapy services and financial allowances to children with thalassaemia from this month.
The desk operates from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm, Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays. It provides assistance with applications for disability allowances, support for single parents and foster families, food claims, therapeutic services, thalassaemia treatment and in vitro fertilisation assistance.
NSPA staff provide guidance on completing and submitting applications, tracking application status and resolving issues related to eFass and other digital platforms.
The agency stated that the help desk is aimed at creating a more accessible and user-friendly process to ensure improved access to essential social protection services.
