The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) and Aasandha have opened a new joint office in Hithadhoo, Addu City.
The new facility is expected to begin offering the full range of NSPA and Aasandha services by the end of the year, according to NSPA Chief Executive Officer Heena Waleed.
She stated that the office would significantly improve convenience for residents of Addu, noting that while many services have been digitised, maintaining a physical presence in key population centres remains important for accessibility and support.
She also indicated that the initiative reflects a broader effort to expand service delivery based on public needs, following direction from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
At present, the office is accepting forms and providing information, with plans to expand into a full-service centre offering all NSPA and Aasandha services before the end of the year.
Aasandha Managing Director Aminath Zeeniya stated that the office was established within a short timeframe through coordinated efforts to improve service accessibility in Addu City.
