Maldives and Saudi Arabia Discuss Strengthening Defence Cooperation

The Maldives and Saudi Arabia have held discussions on strengthening defence cooperation between the two countries.

The discussions took place during a courtesy call by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the Maldives, Yahya Hassan Alqahtani, on the Minister of Defence and National Service, Hassan Rasheed.

During the meeting, both sides explored ways to enhance defence ties, with the Minister expressing appreciation for the continued support provided by Saudi Arabia in strengthening the Maldives’ defence sector.

Saudi Arabia maintains close relations with the Maldives and continues to provide assistance across multiple areas, including support related to Hajj and other forms of cooperation.
