Police Issue Public Summons for Investigation Hearing

The Maldives Police Service has issued a public announcement summoning a Bangladeshi national to appear for an investigative hearing in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation.

According to the Police, Maafannu Police Station requires the presence of Moomin, 48, a Bangladeshi national holding passport number EH0820111, for questioning as a suspect in a criminal investigation.

The Police stated that officers were unable to deliver a summons chit because the individual’s current whereabouts are unknown. As a result, the public announcement was issued under Article 27 of the Regulation on Police Procedures for Investigating Criminal Cases.

The police stated that Moomin has been ordered to report to Maafannu Police Station on 23 June 2026 at 10:00 am.

The public notice serves as an official summons requiring the individual to present themselves for the ongoing investigation, the police stated.
