The Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has awarded its Ran Laari, or “Golden Laari”, accolade to 19 individuals and businesses across 12 categories in recognition of their tax contributions to the state in 2025.
The awards were presented by Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises Hassan Zareer, the chief guest at a ceremony held on Friday evening to mark MIRA’s 16th anniversary.
MIRA said the Ran Laari award recognises individuals and businesses that made the highest tax contributions during the previous year, highlighting their contribution to nation-building.
The recipients were recognised across categories covering tourism-related goods and services tax (TGST) and Green Tax, non-tourism GST, airport taxes and fees, income tax, income tax from non-citizens, banks and state-owned companies.
