The 10th SIDS Global Business Network Forum has officially concluded, marking the successful close of another impactful gathering.

Hosted at the Barceló Nasandhura from Sunday till today, the event brought together over 200 delegates from more than 30 countries. Attendees included small business owners, investors, trade associations, academics, and civil society leaders, all gathering to address pressing economic challenges facing island nations.

Throughout the conference, delegates engaged in five panel sessions, an investment showcase, networking meetings, and an SME marketplace. Discussions focused on securing sustainable investment, mobilising financial resources, and raising global awareness of SIDS-specific development needs.

This landmark decade anniversary aligns with the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS), a 10-year strategic framework adopted in 2024 to foster economic resilience.

Maldivian authorities highlighted that hosting the forum supports President Muizzu’s strategy to strengthen international ties among small island states, building upon momentum from the 4th SIDS Conference held in 2024.
