He also previously served as a Senior Curriculum Developer at the Education Development Centre.

Habeeb previously served as General Manager of Villa Air and as State Minister at the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure. He has also held positions at Villa Hakatha and Villa Air’s Kaadedhdhoo Airport. Habeeb holds a Master of Science in Project Management from Curtin University in Australia.

Meanwhile, former Agriculture Minister Mariyam Mariya has been appointed Ambassador-at-Large, months after resigning from the Cabinet during a government reshuffle.
