President Expresses Condolences to Thailand Following Severe Flooding

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent a formal message of condolence to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul, following widespread devastation caused by heavy rainfall and severe floods.

In his message, President Muizzu conveyed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of life, the displacement of citizens, and the extensive property destruction gripping parts of the country.

Speaking on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, the President extended heartfelt sympathies to Prime Minister Charnvirakul, the Thai government, and citizens. He offered particular condolences to the families mourning relatives who lost their lives due to drowning and electrical hazards during the disaster.

Furthermore, President Muizzu wished a swift and full recovery to all those injured in the floods. He also expressed hope that ongoing emergency response and rescue operations would proceed without hindrance, bringing prompt relief to affected communities.
