Maldivian Chef Maha Naseer Wins Top Master Chef Award at World Gourmet Awards 2026

Maldivian chef Maha Naseer has received the Top Outstanding Master Chef Award of Maldives Cuisine at the World Top Gourmet Awards 2026, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The award was presented during a ceremony at the Andaman Grand Ballroom on 22 October, bringing together chefs and professionals from the international food and beverage industry.

Maha, who serves as a Board Director of Visit Maldives Corporation, is also a Continental Judge of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs), an international organisation representing professional chefs.
In 2022, she received the title of Master Chef from the Master Chef Society of the World in recognition of her achievements in the culinary industry.
The World Top Gourmet Awards, organised by World Gourmet Malaysia, were established in 2017 to recognise achievements in the food and beverage sector.
This year’s ceremony recognised 108 winners across several categories, including chefs, restaurants, food brands and other culinary professionals.
The award adds to Maha’s international culinary recognition and highlights Maldivian cuisine at an international industry event.
