God of War coming to PC

Sony has been pushing to reach a wider gaming audience the past few years with multiple PlayStation exclusive games being released on PC. Their latest offering is 2018’s hit God of War. Considered by many to be one of the best games of all time, God of War is finally coming to PC with the visual upgrades you would expect from the platform - including higher resolution, framerates and DLSS support. As amazing as the game looks on the PlayStation consoles, we can’t wait to see how good the game looks on high end PC hardware with possible mod support.

Expect the game to be released on January 14th 2022 on Steam.

Rumour: Warner Bros. making a crossover fighting game

The Warner Bros. company is home to some of the most iconic fictional characters of the past few decades. This includes characters from Scooby Doo, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Tom & Jerry, and all of the DC comics characters such as Batman and Superman. Multiple reliable leakers have recently said that the company is working on a fighting game similar to Smash that incorporates their hugely diverse characters and franchises. These are all rumours at this point with no official confirmation, but all signs point to a very fun game if Warner Bros. is willing to actually use their amazing characters.

Rumour: Silent Hill and Metal Gear getting remakes

Silent Hill once reigned supreme as the preeminent horror franchise of the PS1 and PS2 era. The original Silent Hill trilogy is to this day considered by many to be the best that gaming has to offer in the horror genre. Similarly, Metal Gear was a pioneer in its own right in the 90s when it introduced to us the stealth shooter genre. With its heavy focus on stealth and deep character driven stories, Metal Gear Solid is a franchise that stands out sharply among other similar military shooters.

While there have been multiple rumours the past few years about a potential Silent Hill and Metal Gear remake being in development, it’s only recently that more well-known gaming websites and leakers have started to make their own announcements. With the new generation of consoles out, maybe it’s time for these two iconic titles to bring their origins to a whole new generation of gamers.

Resident Evil skins in Fortnite

Most online multiplayer games are having a blast for this year’s Halloween. Fortnite in particular is pulling out all the stops by introducing a slew of horror themed skins for October. Their latest offering for this month is Jill and Chris from Resident Evil. Both characters have alternate skins from two different games, as well as multiple backblings and pickaxe versions.

Fortnite is currently on Season 8 of Chapter 2. There’s still a couple of months left before this season ends so you still have plenty of time to grab and enjoy the Halloween skins.

Next Dragon Age is for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles only

The Dragon Age series is home to some of the most popular western style RPG games. Fans have been eagerly waiting for news of a sequel for many years as the last Dragon Age game to come out was Inquisition in 2014. The fourth entry in the series has been teased for a few years now, and industry insiders have recently confirmed that EA is planning for the new title to come out only on the new generation of consoles - making new gameplay innovations a distinct possibility as they leave the older hardware of last generation consoles behind.

Dragon Age 4 is rumoured to have a problematic development similar to Anthem and Mass Effect Andromeda. EA and BioWare have hopefully learned their lessons from those rushed launches and can make the new Dragon Age worth waiting for.

Cuphead animated show coming soon to Netflix

Cuphead is the charming and brutally difficult indie game that captured the attention of the worldwide gaming audience back in 2017. The game itself has beautiful character models and animations due to the art style being based on old cartoon visuals. It’s perhaps because of its art style that Netflix chose this relatively new and small IP to be made into a new animated show.

The Cuphead Show! is expected to air soon on Netflix, with some talented voices attached to the project – including comedian and actor Wayne Brady.
