Children’s Ombudsperson’s Office Celebrates Third Anniversary

Today marks the third anniversary of the Children’s Ombudsperson’s Office, a dedicated institution aimed at safeguarding the well-being and happiness of every child.

The Child Rights Ombudsperson’s duties include overseeing all matters related to children’s rights and welfare, and assessing government compliance with the provisions of the Child Rights Protection Act.

An experienced child rights advocate, Niumaath Shafeeg is currently serving as the ombudsperson of the office.  She previously served as the UNICEF National Consultant for the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and as an Education Development Officer Coordinator for the National Institute of Education.
