Islamic Minister Meets with the Palestinian Ambassador to Maldives

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Zahir Ali, today convened a meeting with the Palestinian Ambassador to Maldives, Walid Abu Ali, with the aim of fortifying the amicable ties between the two nations.

During the meeting, Ambassador Abu Ali conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support that Maldives has extended to Palestine, acknowledging the strong bond that unites the two countries. He also expressed gratitude for Maldives’ collaborative efforts in aiding Palestine’s ongoing struggle for its rights.

In particular, the Ambassador lauded the people of Maldives for their profound attachment to Palestine, underscoring the immense satisfaction derived from the unflinching backing of the Maldivian youth.

In his address, Ambassador Abu Ali drew attention to the prevailing challenges confronting Islamic nations, emphasising the significance of addressing pertinent issues of concern to the Islamic world.

Minister Ahmed Zahir Ali, in response, reiterated Maldives’ deep-rooted affinity towards Palestine, emphasising that the enduring friendship between the two nations remains steadfast. He assured the Ambassador of Maldives’ unswerving support regarding matters pertaining to Palestine.

Both parties underscored the notion that the mutual agreement between Maldives and Palestine will serve to further consolidate their relationship, while also fostering cooperation in crucial areas of mutual interest.

Furthermore, the Minister highlighted the necessity for the support and involvement of religious scholars, engaging in discussions on potential areas where their valuable assistance could prove beneficial.
