The decision to postpone the Independence Day Carnival came following the advice of the Health Protection Agency (HPA), which raised concerns regarding the current surge in flu cases.
Prioritising public health and safety, the Home Ministry heeded the HPA’s recommendation and opted to delay the event’s opening.
According to Urbanco, an official announcement regarding the rescheduled date for the carnival’s opening will be made at a later time.
