The President Expresses Condolences Following the Passing of UAE President’s Brother
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih conveyed his condolences to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, following the passing of his beloved brother, His Highness Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, via phone call.
During the phone call, President Solih expressed his sadness at the passing of His Highness Sheikh Saeed. He conveyed the deepest condolences of the government and people of the Maldives to the royal family, government, and people of the UAE.
President Solih also praised His Highness Sheikh Saeed for his exceptional public service, which he noted will be fondly remembered by the people of the UAE. He expressed his hope that His Highness Sheikh Saeed’s dedication to his country will inspire future generations.
President Solih and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the strong brotherly ties between the Maldives and the UAE during their conversation and reiterated their commitment to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries in the future.
