PILC to Launch Mobile Legal Aid Clinic in ADh. Omadhoo

Public Interest Law Centre (PILC) is set to launch its Mobile Legal Aid Clinic in ADh. Omadhoo on 18th August, the outreach program is devised to equip the local community with essential legal information and assistance.
On Friday, August 18, 2023, two significant events will take place as part of the Legal Aid Clinic. The first will be a free legal aid camp that will offer legal advice, attestation services, and assistance with form filling. The camp is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mariyaadhuge.
Following the legal aid camp, the PILC team will be hosting a legal awareness session, which aims to enlighten the residents of ADh. Omadhoo on crucial legal matters. The session will focus on educating the community on the Maldivian Legal System, Employment Law, Family Law, and Land Issues. The event is set to take place later that evening starting from 8:30 PM until 10:00 PM at the ADh. Omadhoo Pre-School premises.
Both of these initiatives form part of the PILC’s ongoing mission to make legal support and education accessible to all corners of the Maldives.
These programs are being conducted with the generous support of the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) and the United States Agency for International Development in the Maldives (USAID Maldives).
