During a press conference held at the President’s Office on Sunday evening, Akram Kamaaluddin, the Minister of State for National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure, explained the procedures undertaken to finalise the roster of beneficiaries for the housing scheme.
Kamaaluddin announced that the distribution of land allotments from the designated areas of Hulhumalé and Gulhifalhu to the beneficiaries will commence within the coming week. This distribution will follow a random drawing process amongst the chosen recipients.
The culmination of this extensive endeavour reveals that a total of 19,631 individuals have met the eligibility criteria, securing their position in the final list for the ‘Binveriyaa’ Housing Scheme. From this pool, 18,948 fortunate individuals are set to be granted one of the 9,003 currently available land plots.
The release of the final list, which transpired during the evening, came after a review of the provisional list of potential beneficiaries.
