Land Bridge To Connect Gadhdhoo Island with Maavarulu Airport

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu disclosed plans to connect Gadhdhoo Island and Maavarulu Airport via a land bridge, during the President’s visit to the island as part of his ongoing tour of four southern atolls.
Addressing the island community at the G.Dh. Atoll Education Centre, President Muizzu highlighted the importance of various developmental initiatives to foster the growth of Gadhdhoo Island. Land reclamation was underscored as a critical concern, with the President committing to initiating the necessary projects. Additionally, he reassured that the administration would prioritize and expedite the construction of a hospital on the island.
President Muizzu also called upon the community to support the administration’s efforts in implementing developmental projects. He urged individuals in positions of authority to uphold their oath and serve the citizens impartially, regardless of political affiliations. Emphasizing the responsibility of elected officials, the President stressed the need for sincere and integral discharge of duties, emphasizing that political ideologies should not hinder the diligent execution of responsibilities.
Further, the president affirmed his administration’s commitment to fulfilling the promises made, prioritizing national development, and enhancing citizens’ income. The President, accompanied by a high-level Government delegation, reiterated these commitments during his tour of several islands in Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, and the North and South Huvadhu Atolls.
