Muizzu Embarks on Tour of Northern Atolls

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu commenced a tour of several islands in Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, Shaviyani and Noonu Atolls this afternoon.
During his six-day tour, the President will engage with city and island councils and the Women’s Development Committees (WDCs). Muizzu will also meet with city and island communities to discuss the intended developmental plans for their respective communities and share their concerns with the President.

Muizzu previously stated that he would work closely with the people to deliver developmental promises. In alignment with his commitment to ensure development for the people through a hands-on approach, Muizzu will personally visit and collaborate with local councils to ensure that developmental projects resonate with the people’s aspirations.
During the initial visit to the atolls after assuming office, Muizzu stated that he aimed to visit all the councils of the Maldives before Ramadan.
As such, he met with all the councils of Kolhumadulu Atoll and Addu and Fuvahmulah Cities. In South and North Huvadhoo Atoll, he met all the councils except two.
A high-level Government delegation will accompany Muizzu on this tour.
