Maaddoo Island Declared Under Jurisdiction of Eydhafushi Island

President Muizzu declared Maaddoo Island under the jurisdiction of B.Eydhafushi on Sunday, during his official visit across Baa Atoll where the president met with local councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDC) to address developmental concerns.

The President signed the decree before meeting the Eydhafushi Island Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC).

Council members at the meeting with the president highlighted the immediate need to initiate a housing project on the island, upgrade the health services offered by Baa Atoll Hospital, resolve issues relating to electricity services, as well as the need for a salary increment for the council’s administrative employees. 

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met 100 councils within three months since assuming office, deliberating on numerous developmental projects of islands and atolls across the country.
