Nominations Open for 2024 Rehendhi Awards

The Ministry of Social and Family Development has announced the commencement of nominations for the prestigious 2024 Rehendhi Awards. Established in 2014, these awards aim to honour the invaluable contributions of women across various sectors towards national development and societal advancement within Maldives.
Selected by the Rehendhi Award Evaluation Committee, recipients will be presented with a distinguished shield and a symbolic brooch, symbolising their dedication to national service and societal progress. The initiative seeks to not only recognise the remarkable achievements of women but also to foster greater female participation in key sectors of national importance.

The award categories encompass both individual women and associations, as well as women’s development committees, with nominations being accepted under four distinct categories: leadership and governance, economic empowerment, social empowerment, and non-traditional roles. Eligible applicants are invited to submit their nominations, accompanied by relevant documentation, via email to rehendhiawards@msfd.gov.mv or in person at the Umar Zahir Office Building.
The deadline for submissions is set for Thursday, April 18, at 2:00 pm. Detailed guidelines and application forms for the 2024 Rehendhi Awards are available on the Ministry’s official website.
