WHO Seeks Youth Perspectives on ‘My Health, My Right’ for World Health Day
The World Health Organization (WHO) Maldives is calling to the youth of Maldives, urging them to share their perspectives on the theme of ‘My Health, My Right’ for World Health Day 2024.
In alignment with this year’s theme, WHO is conducting a regional campaign to explore what ‘My Health, My Right’ signifies to individuals, with a particular focus on the youth demographic.
WHO is seeking contributions from various segments of society, including students, working professionals, volunteers, indigenous peoples, members of marginalized communities, community health workers, and advocates representing individuals with stigmatized health conditions.
Participants are encouraged to convey their interpretations of ‘My Health, My Right’ through video testimonials, employing a straightforward three-step process:
- Share Your Thoughts: Participants are invited to express their perspectives on ‘My Health, My Right’ in a video testimonial.
- Record Your Video: Videos should be one minute (60 seconds) in duration, filmed in landscape/horizontal format, with the speaker centered in the frame. Participants are encouraged to speak naturally without reading from a script, preferably in English. Unedited videos are preferred, but participants may opt to edit their submissions without adding text or logos.
- Submit Your Video: Participants are instructed to upload their videos to a designated file-sharing platform (https://wetransfer.com/), providing relevant details such as their name, age, contact information (email address and phone number), profession, or any other pertinent information. The deadline for submissions is 10 am (Maldives Time) on April 4, 2024. Submissions should be emailed to sewhomav@who.int.
By sharing their perspectives, participants contribute to a collective dialogue on health rights, amplifying the voices of youth across the South-East Asia Region. For further information, individuals are encouraged to reach out to sewhomav@who.int.
