Eight-Year-Old Girl Found Unconscious in Abandoned House on Fiyoaree Island

An eight-year-old girl who went missing last night in GDh. Fiyoaree has been found unconscious in an abandoned house near her home, according to her family.

The girl’s father, Mohamed Rasheed, reported that she had left the house at around 17:00 on Saturday following a disagreement with her mother. Although she had left the house previously, she always returned by 18:00, he said.

When the girl did not return home by 18:00, the family became concerned and informed the police. A search was initiated with the help of local residents.

Rasheed stated that the abandoned house near their home was searched twice. However, despite no sign of the child during those searches, she was later found unconscious inside the same house at around 00:00 by people who were still looking for her.

The child was transferred to Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital today for further tests. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
