Ministry Concludes IBAMA Training Programme in Shaviyani Atoll

The Ministry of Social and Family Development has concluded a training programme for members of the Social Welfare Workers “Ijuthimaaee Badhahi Madhadhuverin” (IBAMA) in Shaviyani Atoll, held from 16th July to 22nd July 2024.

The programme, conducted in collaboration with all island institutions in the province, aimed to address the challenges encountered by members in their vital roles. Participants actively engaged in practical activities designed to enhance their skills and improve service delivery throughout the atoll.

Key elements of the training included identifying vulnerable individuals in remote island communities, refining intervention strategies to improve their circumstances, and developing essential skills necessary for effective service provision. Additionally, technical sessions focused on assessing rural living conditions and formulating actionable plans for sustainable improvement.

The initiative reflects a coordinated effort to strengthen Ibama’s capacity in Shaviyani Atoll, ensuring enhanced support for vulnerable populations through targeted and informed interventions.
