MACL Gears Up for Tourist Peak Season

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has initiated preparations for the upcoming peak tourist season, kicking off efforts with a special event titled “Winter Prep Kick-off 2024.”

According to MACL, the event aimed to align the company’s preparation plan with its strategic objectives by briefing the management team on the necessary actions. During the gathering, the Facility Management and Utilities Division (FMUD) delivered an overview of its plans, followed by comprehensive discussions to boost the efficiency of various divisions.

The event was attended by MACL’s Chief Executive Officer Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, Deputy Managing Directors Mohamed Lamaan and Mujthabaa Latheef, as well as other senior officials.

MACL has set its sights on ensuring smooth and efficient services for both airlines and passengers during the busy season. Key focus areas include managing overcrowding, enhancing the convenience and cleanliness of the existing passenger terminal, and maintaining optimal temperatures throughout the facility.

Speaking at the event, CEO Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed highlighted the Winter Prep Kick-off 2024 as the launch of the company’s broader preparation efforts, led by FMUD. He commended the collaborative nature of the planning process and stated that the company would set clear goals for the next peak season. Shareef reassured attendees that any challenges would be tackled head-on, ensuring the airport is well-equipped to deliver high-quality services to its growing number of passengers.
