140 Officers Graduate from 42nd Police Basic Training Course in Addu City Police College

During the 42nd Police Basic Training Course passing-out parade held at the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement in Addu City.

A total of 140 police officers graduated on Thursday evening from the 42nd Police Basic Training Course, during a passing-out parade held at the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement in Addu City.

The cohort comprised 104 male and 36 female officers, out of 158 recruits who initially began the four-month training programme on 15 February.

The graduation ceremony was officiated by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan and was attended by Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed, senior officers of the Maldives Police Service, and officials from the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement, alongside families of the graduating officers and invited guests. 

The Police Basic Training Course is designed to prepare new recruits for operational duties, covering areas such as human rights, community policing, investigative techniques, law enforcement ethics, and professional conduct.

During the ceremony, awards were presented to top-performing officers in recognition of their achievements during the training period. The passing-out parade marks the completion of formal training and the transition of the officers into active service across the Maldives.
