Dhiraagu has launched a suite of promotions and a new artificial intelligence tool to celebrate its 38th anniversary.
The company announced the offers during a press conference at its Head Office in Malé, which marked the first public appearance of newly appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Valde Ferradaz. According to Dhiraagu, Ferradaz highlighted the company’s history alongside the growth of the Maldivian economy while addressing media representatives. He expressed gratitude to customers, partners, regulators, and government stakeholders, while pledging continued investment in digital infrastructure and emerging technologies across the country.
As part of the anniversary roll-out, Dhiraagu is offering several immediate promotions accessible through its mobile application. Both prepaid and postpaid subscribers can claim a complimentary 38GB data package, while prepaid customers receive 38 free international call minutes to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
The telecommunications operator has also introduced “AiV”, an artificial intelligence call-handling assistant designed to manage incoming calls on behalf of users to prevent missed communications. For residential fixed broadband users, the provider offers a free replacement of legacy fibre optical network terminal (ONT) routers, subject to a 24-month contract commitment. Additionally, active mobile customers can access daily discount vouchers over a 38-day period from 12 selected “EliteClub” partners spanning dining, retail, groceries, and accommodation. Each partner releases 38 vouchers every day on a first-come, first-served basis through a dedicated portal within the app.
