Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM) has revoked an amendment to its regulation that laid out retirement allowance for staff and members who retire after 15 or more years of service.

The repealed amendment stated that a person who served the Commission as a staff and later as a member for more than 10 years is eligible for a retirement payment calculated based on his/her latest salary and years of service.
