FENAKA to Roll Out Real-Time Smart Electric Meters

Fenaka Corporation Limited has announced the initiation of a new project to equip households with smart electric meters that would allow customers to view electricity consumption and associated costs in real-time.

During a press conference held at the President’s Office yesterday, Muaz Mohamed Rasheed, the Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation, disclosed that the Smart Meter initiative has commenced implementation across the Dhaalu atoll.

Rasheed outlined the functionality of the Smart Meter, highlighting that it enables consumers to instantly monitor their daily electricity usage and corresponding billing amounts. 

“Meaning when tomorrow ends, the amount incurred on to the bill now can be checked. This will open the path to further economize.” Rasheed said.

The Managing Director confirmed the completion of the project’s implementation in Kudahuvadhoo within the Dhaalu atoll, ensuring residents of the island will have immediate access to their daily electricity consumption data and billing information.
